Trendy Tuesday

Welcome back to another Trendy Tuesday! Yesterday we talked about the new neon trend and I just wanted to share a few products to help inspire you for this weeks challenge. Heidi Swapp has a line called "Day Glow" it has tapes, letters, photo corners and pens all in eye popping bright colors.

Ready to finish embellishments allow you to customize the look to fit your project. This year Pink Paislee has come out with their Artisan line which includes flowers, chipboard, papers, embossed foam stickers, trims and more. Here's a peek at a few pieces from the line.

Aren't they pretty and fun? Well, that's it for today's post. Hope to see you back tomorrow for some card inspiration. Have a great day!

Style Challenge No.3

Good morning crafters! I apologize for not having the Sunday Style Challenge up yesterday. I tried to post it at least 10 times, but was having some issues with Blogger. Every time I would hit post it would delete everything I had written and when I tried to add a pic it would freeze and give me an error code. It was very odd. Anyway, here is you challenge for the week: NEON. Neon has become such a hot trend lately. Hero Arts even has a line of neon ink pads now. And the second part f the challenge is to have something sweet on your card. It could be candy, cupcakes, ice cream, whatever as long as it's sweet. You don't have to follow the inspiration pic to a T, just use any neon colors and something sweet. You have until Friday at midnight to get in your creations. Just add your creation using the inlikz tool at the bottom of the post.

Since Mondays usually feature my newest Pinterest finds I will leave you with some of my favorites this week. With the Olympics going on I found this super cute torch cupcake idea.

I also found a link to this blog that has all kinds of great Cuttlebug techniques

And this fun summer idea to spray paint a Twister board on your lawn!

What a great idea!!! Spray paint the yard for a twister board!

I hope to see you all back this week for more fun and inspiration. Spread the word about the Sunday Style Challenge! The more entries there are the more inspired you'll be. Have great day and thanks for stopping by!

Thursday/Friday Combo

Hello! Today we are going to combine Thursday and Friday's post because, well, there just weren't enough hours in the day yesterday. Probably my favorite part of every CHA is seeing all the new paper lines that are coming out. After all how can you be a paper crafter without paper right? This CHA had some fabulous new lines to choose from so I wanted to share a few. Carta Bella (Echo Parks sister company) is my favorite new company and they had some fabulous lines to show. Their Halloween line "All Hallow's Eve" has a great vintage feel to it.

"Alphabet Junction" is a great kids line with colors that work fr both boys and girls. Back t school pics will look great on this one. And their "Merry & Bright" line is fun non-traditional Christmas colors (which I'm always a sucker for).

Pink Paislee had their Portfolio collection that I also loved. Muted colors and vintage prints and the embellishments were amazing! Their line "City Sidewalks" was probably my favorite Christmas line.

My Minds Eye is always a favorite for me. I love just about everything they come out with. This year they continued their Lost & Found line with "Lost & Found Halloween." They also had a great Christmas collection "All is Bright" and my favorite non-holiday line "The Sweetest Thing."

There were too many lines to show all in one post! My other favorites were:
Teresa Collins - "Vintage Finds" and "Tell Your Story"
Authentique - "Festive" "Curiosity" and "Enchanted"
 Glitz - "Cashmere Dame"
Prima - "Welcome to Paris" and "Craftsman'"
Basic Grey's "Lucille" and "Serenade"
Heidi Swapp - "Vintage Chic"
If you get a chance check them out!

Both layouts I'm sharing today are of  my oldest son Dillon. The first one is my absolute favorite picture of us. It was taken 2 years ago on the 4th of July by my youngest.  The second is Dillon when he was about 6 at my grandma's. I love the light and shadows in this pic.

I hope you enjoyed today's post tomorrow I will have a winner for the Sunday Style Challenge. If you haven't posted an entry yet you still have time to get your entry in before midnight tonight! Enjoy your Friday!

New Card Making Products

Today's post is running a little late due to eye doctors and dentists. I had to take my youngest in for an eye exam and new glasses today and I had to g to the dentist (I hate the dentist). It took about hours for my lip to not be numb lol. Anyway, on to the good stuff! Today I wanted to share some of the new card making goodies from CHA. One of my card making necessities is rubber stamps and this CHA there were some great ones. Kaiser Craft has come out with a line of clear background stamps that I love. There are lots of awesome textures in the line that I can't wait to create with.My favorites are the number background and spotted background in the first picture, the lace and the postmark in the second, and the checker plate in the fourth. Which ones do you love?

Tim Holtz of course always has fabulous stamps and this CHA was no exception. He has a whole line of holiday themed stamps that resemble blueprints and would make great images for cards. He also came out with a series of sets called Classics. There are 10 sets in the series s far and they have some pretty cool images in them. He also had a few other holiday sets that I think I need to have. Here are the blueprint ones.

Another of my card making necessities is Spellbinders dies. They layer great and come in all different shapes and sizes. This year they introduced a series called Card Creators just for card making. The dies are sized to fit A2 size cards perfectly. They also have some fabulous sets they teamed up with designers Donna Salazar (who made matching stamp sets) and Samantha Walker to make and their always popular M-bossabilities.

I hope you found some inspiration and at least one must have to add to your list. I'll leave you with my card for the day. The paper is from Echo Park and the diamond background is a Tim Holtz stamp that I heat embossed and the other patterned stamp is from one of Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Stamp sets. The "I love you" is a $1 stamp from Michael's that I stamped and cut out. Tomorrow I will have some of my favorite paper lines from CHA and a scrapbook page or two. Until then have a great evening!
