Cricut Halloween Wishes

Happy fall! We are finally experiencing our first real fall weather this week. We've had lots of wind a rain off and on for the past couple of days, along with random hail and snow in the higher elevations. I'm hoping it will let up this weekend long enough for me to take the boys to the pumpkin patch though. So, with Halloween just around the corner I have some fun Cricut Halloween cards to share with you today. They were made with the Happy Hauntings and Paper Doll Dress Up cartridges. The first one is a vintage looking witch silhouette. I used Distress Stain to age the background paper and copper ink on the frame. The spider web ribbon is from Michael's and I just love it.

The second card is the cute little mummy from Paper Doll Dress Up. He is one of my favorite Cricut images! The tombstones I inked and then painted with Distress Crackle Paint in Rock Candy. The spooky tree I used Rock Candy Distress Stickles and drew in some spiders and webs.
The last card is my favorite. Theses spooky pumpkins are from Happy Hauntings. The background was done with Distress Inks and bat stamps from Lawn Fawn.
I hope you enjoyed the cards today and thanks for stopping by!

Tattered Florals Tag

Hello! Hope you all are enjoying your week. We have had beautiful indian summer weather here. It has been in the mid 70's to low 80's for the past few days, which is VERY unusual for our area. I am NOT enjoying not having a regular internet connection however. That is the reason for my absence on the blog as of late. I hope you will still continue to stop by and I will still be posting as often as possible.

Today I have a lovely tag t share with you. It's very soft and feminine and has roses made with the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die. I also used the mini butterfly die and one of his embossing folders with the new diffusing plates (which are fabulous) to create the embossed oval on the tag. If for some crazy reason you are not a fan of the Tim Holtz products, you really should try them. They are not just a big hype, they truly are some of my favorite products I own and the most used.

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your week!

Hello! I wanted to share a tag for my upcoming class on making flowers with the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die. This flower was made with the kraft glassine paper and alcohol inks.I embossed the tag with a Tim Holtz folder and inked it with Distress Inks. The crow stamp is an old Inkadinkado stamp that I used the Distress Embossing Powder on and the swirls are a Tim Holtz set. This one was really fun t make and hopefully the class will be fun as welll. Thanks for stopping by!

Pinterest Monday Is Back

Good morning! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We had soccer on Saturday with my oldest and even though they lost he played the hardest I have seen him play in a very long time. I was so proud of him. Sunday was football day and while my Packers lost, my youngest won his game in a 41-0 blowout! All in all it was a pretty good weekend.

So I'm back with more Pinterest inspiration this week. One of my favorite things I find there is quotes. From ones that inspire, to ones that seem to perfectly fit the complexities of life on any given day, to the ones that make me crack up out loud. I always find something good and I thought I would share a few today.

Also apparently my post yesterday never actually posted, so I have extended the back to school challenge until this Saturday. Be sure to leave your project link in the comments of the August 2nd post. Thanks for stopping by!

Sneak Peek

Hello! TGIF! Hope everyone had a great week. It was hectic around here with the boys back in school but the quiet during the day was well worth it. So I am still posting from my phone, but I did finally download the Blogger app which is making it much easier. Today I have a little sneak peek at a shadow box I'm in the process of making. Hopefully the pics are OK, they are from my phone too. I just have a couple things to add and have to finish the frame and then it will be ready for someone's wall somewhere. Can't wait to share the finished project! See you tomorrow!

Happy Sunday! It's the last weekend of summer for my kiddos and they are back to school on Tuesday. I am still internet challenged right now which is why I haven't posted this week. In fact I'm posting this via my phone. This weeks challenge was to create something with a fall theme. I have 2 fabulous entries to share with you today. The first is from Sue over at Sue's Card Craft. Her leaves have beautiful coloring and she did some great embossing.

The next entry is Natalie's from Delightful Details. This card is so pretty and I just love the colors.

Thank you ladies for sharing your amazing creations with us this week. Since the bys are finally back to school this week I thought we would do a school themed challenge. Cards, teacher gifts, first day of school layouts or anything else with a school theme. And here's your inspiration:

Style Challenge No.6

Hello all! Sorry for not getting the new challenge up yesterday, I'm having internet issues. Anyway, here we are today with a wonderful new challenge! With the final weekend of summer fast approaching I thought we would jump right into fall this week. Fall is my favorite time of year. Not only do we usually get our best weather this time of year, but all the colors begin to change and everything is beautiful. So this week, I want to see your most beautiful fall creations! No Halloween though. Here are a couple of inspiration pics and my tag which is also going to be part of an upcoming class!

For this tag I used the Tim Holtz "Thankful Silhouettes" stamp set and matching embossing folder, as well as the Tattered Leaves die, Distress Stains, Perfect Pearls Mist and kraft glassine paper.

How pretty are these leaves!

Since I was running late this week I'm going to extend the deadline for submissions until Saturday night and featured creations will be posted with next weeks challenge. Thanks for stopping by today!

Tag You're It! #1

Hello all my fabulous followers! I hope your week is going smoothly. Today I wanted to share the examples for my next class. I'm really excited about this one because it's my first time doing this type of a class. It's going to be a series of tags using some Tim Holtz techniques I learned in the Creative Chemistry online class I took, as well as a few others I've learned in my online adventures. The first class is 2 tags, one using the shattered stains technique and one using the gilded glassine technique.

Here is the gilded glassine tag

The flowers are made using the kraft glassine paper, alcohol inks and embossing folders

The background was done with distress inks and some of the Tim Holtz stamps

And this is the shattered stains tag

The heart, wings and crown are cut from grunge board, then covered with Rock Candy crackle paint and the Distress Stains

The background is again Distress Inks and Tim Holtz stamps. The little ruffle along the bottom is made from tissue tape that I pleated.

The class is at Scrapper's Edge on September 5th and is $15. I will be sharing more samples later. So far I have 4 classes ready to go. Thanks for stopping by today!

Now it's time to relax and bring you the next Sunday Style challenge. This week's challenge is a card only challenge and the theme is kid's birthdays! There are no set colors or other requirements for this challenge, I just want to see your best birthday cards for kids. Here is an inspiration pic that I found on the Photo Card Boutique website. This is another great website for color inspiration. Below that I have 3 fun kids cards I made with the KaiserCraft Party Animals Collection.

You have until next Friday at midnight to get your card submitted. Just leave your link below using the inlinkz button. Can't wait to see your creations this week. Thanks for stopping by!
