Some Older Projects

Here are some older projects that I just never got around to posting on here. The first is a sign I made for my scrap room. Love the quote, soooo fitting for me.
The font is Hello Kitty and the paper is from DCWV Sweet stackThe second is a random layout that I made for a friend called "My Wish For You." It has a lot of different cartridges on it, Storybook, Hello Kitty Font, Plantin Schoolbook, Home Accents and all the doodles are by me. :)
The next one is a card I did for a challenge on the Cricut MB last month. The challenge was to make a card or layout using a tag from one of the Cricut cartridges. I used Design Studio and Plantin Schoolbook to make the card. The papers and cut outs are from a K & Co. holiday stack and the sentiment is a Studio G stamp from the dollar bins at Joann's.
The last project is a mini album I made of my beautiful niece. I cut each page with Accent Essentials, then for the cover I punched circles from a K & Co. sheet of paper and glued them around the edge to make it look like a flower. The font is Hello Kitty again.
The flowers and the butterfly are Jolee's embellishments
The small flowers are from Hello Kitty Font.

Lots To Post Today!!!

Here are a few other projects I've completed in the last week. The first is a card that I did for a challenge on the Cricut MB. I used my 2 new carts Life is a Beach and Lyrical Letters.

The second page was my first project with my Sports Mania cartridge. Its fairly basic but I think it turned out pretty good.

My third project is a page I did with Lyrical Letters and another one of my flowers. The colors were a new thing for me, the deep jewel tones. I wasn't sure I'd like it, but now that its finished its become one of my favorites. The printed paper is from the DCWV Rockstar stack.
This layout was inspired by one of Stephanie's sketches over at Scrapsketch. Its the first layout I've done in a while with out any Cricut. The patterned paper is Basic Grey.

SSPT Challenge #2

I'm finally done! For the second SSPT challenge the theme was "Neapolitan." I started with a "chocolate" background, added some "strawberry" swirls (Home Accents) and finished with a "vanilla" scalloped circle (mini monograms). The flowers were cut with Wedding Accents and the centers are Scribbles. And the font is Storybook.

I Finally Finished Something!

My creativity has been on a roller coaster lately! But I finally came up with something for my second SSPT challenge AND I finished my Cricut MB challenge. I really thought my SSPT challenge was going to end up being a card but I even surprised myself with a great layout. The MB challenge is cute but I'm not thrilled with it, I think it may need something else before I post it. Hopefully I will have pics up later today, so check back!

Challenge #1 Complete!

So this is my first completed challenge for the Sugar Sweet Paper Treats Design Team. The challenge was to create a project with the word "sweet," an image of some kind of "sweet treat" and the main color had to be pink. Considering I have 2 boys and I didn't want to make a card this was not the easiest thing in the world for me. The layout has no pics on it because I didn't have any that matched, but it turned out pretty good. I used my new Lyrical Letters for the font and the cherries, the candy is from Doodlecharms and the cupcakes are from Wild Card. The paper is DCWV Sweet Stack and Nana's kids. Hope you like it.

Live Laugh Love

So the past few days I have been in the mood of all bad moods. It was like someone just sucked all the creativity and inspiration right out of me. Which was a really bad thing since I had not even started on my best friends birthday present and her birthday is today by the way. So yesterday I went and bought the things I needed and was determined to come home and work on it after the boys were in bed. Didn't happen. I had it all planned out that I was going to give it to her in the morning when she came over and then it all went out the window. So I worked on it today and being rushed seemed to make trying to be creative even harder. But in the end I finished it (about an hour ago) and it turned out pretty good I think. She loves it so I guess that's all that really matters. I'm always too critical of my own work.

Anyway, here are the pics. Its a 9x20 shadow box. I used a sheet of cardstock for one of the 12x24 packs of cardstock to cover the background and then cut the branches from Storybook. I cut the words "Live Laugh Love" from Home Accents out of Bazzill Bling card stock. The butterflies are from Indie Art and to make them dimensional I made 2 cuts, the first one regular and the second with the blackout feature. Then I glued them together at the body and folded the wings up on the top layer. I also added glitter (Scribbles paint) to the bodies.I cut the flowers from Plantin Schoolbook and layered them like the butterflies, but offset them so the petals would alternate.
